Defo looks like the FR+ with the red badge as the standard FR comes with black/red badges

Thanks Bruce still a bit nervous with her after the ECU issues but we are getting there.

No mention in any paper work about her being a FR+ so going with that majority on this one :)

Did discover in the rain last night the dreaded leaky pollen filter so your right about the bank balance LOL :)

Looks nice mate hope you get your leaks sorted quickly and get to enjoy her properly

Thanks Alec...done a temp fix with some gaff tape at the moment which seems to be holding for a bit until I can get to sort it out :)

Gaffa tape the one fix solution for everything the stuff works wonders my first car was pretty much held together with various colours of it lol

Sorry to hear that you've had problems with your FR straight off the bat Ted. Hopefully from here on in, it's problem free enjoyable motoring. The mk1s are great IMO but I'm probably biased!

If you haven't had time to do your door seals yet, put tape over where the window meets the window seal (point where the window slides into the door, if you know what i mean) and that'll keep your car dry until you get chance to repair it properly.

Enjoy ownership :)

Awesome thanks James :) been a good few days with her now and looking like I'm going to get 600 odd miles from a tank which will be awesome compared to the 200 odd from the Ford :)

Nice car bud :) I'm only over in Buckinghamshire so nice to see someone else not too far away. Yup you've got a FR+ by the looks of it as everyone else has said so just a few extra styling bits :)

As for the pollen filter issue, it might just be the cover has caught itself up, as I did the same on my Cupra TDi when i changed the filter and it pissed straight into footwell! Take the cover off and put it back on and make sure the sleeve that's on the back of the cover goes right across...means you might take a few scratches on the back of your hand doing so, but it's the easiest way in my opinion.

awesome thanks Karl! Where in Bucks you at? I'm a Hazlemere/Penn born n bread :)

I'm Aylesbury myself but I'm usually out and about in south bucks in the work vans aroudn Hazlemere, Wooburn Green, Beaconsfield, Jordans, Iver, Taplow, Burnham etc :)

So been driving my girl around for about a month now and loving it! But nothing has happened to her as yet...!

Rear bearing sounds like its gone/on the way out so will need to replace them and the suspension is pretty crash bang wallop, so looking at replacing the suspension as well.

Thinking while I am going to be under there replace bushes at the same time. Not worked on a car before so looking forward to getting my hands dirty with my mate who has a ridiculous 306 GT.

Went to the local diner for the GFs Birthday so took a pic :)

Update: 11 Mar 14

Excited my first shopping spree for parts have just started arriving. :D

After talking the ear off of Damien@DPM Performance on e-mail and the guys@KW on their stand at Ultimate Dubs, I have ordered the following:

Sachs F/R Shocks
Lamforder F/R Bushes
SNR Rear Hub&Bearing
SNR Front Bearings
Eibach Sport line F/R springs

I know this is not a fancy list of performance parts, but need to get a feel of what the car should feel like relatively stock before I go too mad [B)]

Also I noticed that some of the bolts were missing from the top of the grille so I have ordered some from the mighty E-bay.

I also got the Elswine v4.0 workshop manual to help me do all this work :)

Yeah also no good if you drive over a grain of sand and your spine crumples LOL :)

Bad Time

Bad times...backing out of a space last night and hit a 4x4 at low speed luckily so no damage to the 4x4, but the Leon took a bit of a beating :(

Not sure how I am going to fix or if I am just going to get a new bumper. Number plate light still works all OK, so hopefully the Fuzz won't pull me.

Also noticed a scrape down the driver side passenger door :(

On the upside I did give my lady a good clean (mainly to assess the damage) :)

As always will keep you all updated :)

Sorry to see the damage! At least the scrape on the door is on the rub strip so could be a cheap DIY fix.

Those new shiny parts should ease the pain a little ;)
