Had to chuckle to myself. Postman has just arrived with a brown envelope, tax disc for the new Cupra. However, we don't have any car to put it on



Roll on tomorrow when I can attach said text disc to the car!

Did they also send a tax disc holder? I almost had to pay £1 for mine from seat lol

That's the way it happens. Dealer registers and taxes the car, disc will turn up in post some time later. Happened like this when we bought the mk2 as well.

The delay in us picking up this car is me rather than the dealer. I guess we could have picked it up much earlier this week if it wasn't for work commitments.

Thats a new one on me then, last new car I brought nearly 2 years ago was done by the dealer and was already displayed. I know the law is changing with ref to tax discs.

There won't be tax discs for much longer anyway, so will soon be a moot point. But this was certainly my experience for last two cars. Disc came direct from DVLA both times.

I personally dislike any kind of stickers or card holders in my windscreen but feel for all the poor businesses that produce and sell tax disc holders.

I have bought a lot of new cars and never had it thru the post, but I have to get a personal reg transfer, and the dealer always does it (no cost - work it into deal) that way the car is taxed when I collect it. So I may be not the norm.

Hope they start selling the tax holders off cheap then, as I can still use for my office car park badge, same size.

My ST is finally made and waiting for transport. Transport to Belgium is by train or truck according to the dealer and it could take up to 2 weeks..

I picked up my second Mk 3 FR yesterday and I've noticed a few differences from my last one, The little stowage net in the boot has gone, as has the cover on the cubbyhole by the aircon controls and the stowage box under the passenger seat??

However, I'm loving the LED lights, really wish I'd specced them last time!!

Looks like SEAT used up their stock of nets and under seat storage on Cupra's
