What did you and your MK2 do today?

All treated with back to black didn't realise how much difference there was until I put the photos next to each other. As the B pillars were off the car I decided to do them separately, made a massive difference in colour. Cars looks better for it, and certainly better than it did wrapped!

Is this just the back to black from the spray cans, on a rag wiped on, or is it some kind of cream?

Think the difference is good so want to do mine tomorrow so wanna know what you used buddy.

Removed rcd510 dab and replaced it with a kenwood ddx4025dab. Slightly disappointed as kenwood have no idea how to do a straight forward GUI!

It's Simoniz back to black trim spray. If I'm honest it's not very good, needs loads of coats of it and looks really patchy after a while about a month.

Also if you do use it, be careful not to get it on the paint, it's pain in arse to get off.

So you have got a nice car. It does the job you need it to, looks good, goes well and is largely reliable.

Because your mileage is high, you are worried about wear and tear, so decide to buy a worse car that is probably already worn and a 2nd car (for fun) that won't be as nice as the car you started with. You loose the nice car and end up with 2 worse cars.

There is no logic mate, you will only lose out. Run the leon into the ground, or swap it for something else when you are bored with it. Just don't try to save money by swapping cars, it never works.

+1. You always loose on cars. Stick with a decent one long term. if you've cared for it you know its history. You might buy one that ends up with loads of probs. If its not broke dont fix it

I work part time for my dad's company along with delivery driving for the local take away. I don't earn enough money to pay him back at the minute. Come September I'm back in uni again!

Ultimately I'm probably gonna have to just fix what's wrong with it (bodywork and wheel bearing) and keep it. Maybe a cheeky remap too.

Maybe it was a wrong choice to get a car that expensive when you was at uni. Love and learn as they say.

I know this. On the road it gets sooo many looks, and at meets people tend to walk around and admire them as if they were classics.
If that's already the case now, imagine in 5-10 years

Nope, but it's my dad's car anyway so not my issue!

Personally I wanted to trade my old leon in for something with the same trade value of it so I wasn't paying to change to a diesel as such.

I'll be lucky if i can put £1000 together from my, expected, £2800 loan for the year.

I'm gonna be spending around £600 to get my current leon how I want it, provided nothing else happens to it in the mean time!

Same, went from New ds3 to a 5 yr old Leon thinking it would be cheaper but didn't take into account insurance is more, servicing isn't free, road tax was free in the ds3 so works out more expensive over the year Lol. Love the car though.

My insurance is actually cheaper, having just run a quote.
I pay for servicing anyway now, but it i was to change it I may just service it myself and run the car to the ground.
Tax may be slightly more.

I know what people are saying though, its just food for thought at the minute, obviously I'd have to do proper research into it and ensure I got the right car.

Another thing that will continue to irritate me for a very long time now is the wheel bearing. It makes a noise and vibrates, and I know its there, but the recommendations I have is that its no where near bad enough to change.
