i will give them the benefit of the doubt first if i get no luck will escalate it.

for such a small thing i don`t see what all the hassle is about really , a smart repair is £150 retail even less for them at trade.
what they are saying is the bloke they use just pulls out dents and does not fix paint work.

was yours a crash repair or something:confused:

yes it was full of bodge and upon close inspection full of bodge and pink under halogen lights

did you not travel quite a distance to get the car?

i'd have the bumper refitted at a dealer nearer to your home to avoid the cost of petrol as the muppets who sold it are clearly cowboys who won't cough up your fuel costs.

surely another dealer is going to see the paint damage and try and charge me ? if it was just the alignment issue i would do , but it has lightly banged another car

think what i would do is have a chat with SEAT UK on tuesday, tell them the crack and theres a bumper alignment issue.

explain that you found paint damage etc etc and the dealers are being funny. inform them of its so many hours round trip that your not prepared to do and I'm sure they will try to arrange something to resolve. i would give them all the photos to confirm what the damage was that you discovered and also that you have stood the cost of a chips away smart repair. I'm pretty sure they will sort it

seeing your post mention a 4 hour journey suggests you bought the car somewhere up in the northern half of the country

dealer is only 70 miles away but went up by train which required 3 changes hence the time,
driving is just over an hour away.

i have not paid anything yet , what i suggested to them is they pay for a smart repair which i find, or i drop the car back and they sort it out and give me a loan car while they do it .
what they are saying is the small dent in the bumper cannot repaired which is ridiculous as smart repair guys fix holes and all sorts in bumpers.
they keep going on about dent man but they fix dents in metal, not plastic and paint you need a smart repair to sort it.

smart repair guy did his thing , dent and scratch is now gone

bumper alignment issue still remains , but will wait till it needs it next service and get them to look at it then.
