Hi
hopefully I can get some feedback on the following.

My wife has has decided its time for a new car, replacing her 3 yr old 1.2TSI Sportrider.
Been a fantastic car and has only covered 14k. Never let us down.

We quite fancy the new Ibiza SC 1.4 TSi FR Edition with the 1.4 ACT engine.

Firstly, anyone have any feedback, good or bad ?
Secondly, can anyone recommend an online supplier as I dont want to pay a premium price at the stealers.

cheers

I've had mine since July and can't speak highly enough of it. If you already like your current Ibiza then it's a no brainer.

I got the best prices from Carwow which gets you no obligation quotes from dealers in the uk, you don't even need to register to use it.

Other than that, buyacar.co.uk were good but are just a broker for the dealers.

Either way will give you an indication of the best price you can achieve without having to haggle direct.

Also try drive the deal, last time I looked they were sub £13k. I ended up getting a dealer to match this price, they can move on price usually if they want the business. But not heard a bad thing from carwow, drive the deal and brokers4cars.

Love my FR Edition, great car, cracking engine. Swear it's quicker than stated. Might just be the torque though.

I think its the feeling because it is real world fast, not just the 0-100km/h or 1/4mile fast. I test drove one and it felt as quick as my demapped vRS Octavia especially down low and mid-range. Of course it would lose up in the revs and above 100km/h but it was quite fast of the line and low end and middle range grunt means you dont always have to rev it and you can leave it in one gear and still make good progress.

Thinking of swapping my 1.2 TSI for one of these, can anyone give me an idea of MPG I could expect at 70mph on a motorway? Is 55mpg realistic - never been able to get more than about 45 from the 1.2?

Cheers

I've got mine from Carwow, bear in mind you can still negotiate the quote from them as well. I have managed to drop further £300 from their original quote.
As for the brokers4cars, they have mixed reviews. Their price is very competitive, but some peoples were saying they have been waiting for months for the new car. I've tried to talk to them, but 2 days of ringing them all day and no one ever pick it up.

Does anyone know if the "Space saver spare wheel" option includes the foam insert, jack and wheel brace etc. ?

It should. At least the jack, wrench and and spare is included in Cupras. Oh and of course the different foam paddings.
