id say thats ****ed mate.

Funny thing is, it feels barely any different and sounds the same. Slight judder I had in reverse is now gone, obviously the clutch is lighter, sharper bite and no longer slips.... but nothing indicating the DMF would be in that state!

Oh well, off to give mine a second coat of Fusso99 whilst the weather is on my side.

I did the bonnet struts a different way,

I tried the single strut but failed, the strut has to fix into the ball but its on too much of an angle for this to work so i modified the way its works and went the oem solution

i still used the plates, 20x50mm, welded the nut on the back,

how ever i went through the hinge

heres the hole

after that to allow the strut to come down you have to trim this piece

remove it

cut in half

the struts are off an audi a4 13" long, while they hold the bonnet they dont lift it, so i need something stronger which i can have made by a company :)

The Audi A3 mk1 gas strut that we've used has a slightly angled fixing which means it can attach. It's probably near its limit but I've had no problems with it

i used the a4 rear boot struts and they lift the bonnet fine.

Fitted a Triple R front Splitter and quick shifter. Very happy and only an hour to fit both. Wish i had fitted the quick shifter a long time ago, what a difference!
