Good engine capable of many many more miles if serviced at regular intervals.

I like the fact it comes with full service history. Looks genuine maybe worth a test drive if your close by?

Hi all,

I'm looking into getting a cupra tdi, however the one I'm after has 115,000 miles on the clock. Is it worth looking at or steer clear?

What's best to look out for?

The one I'm looking at:

I bought mine on 125k miles with a full service history and it has not missed a beat engine wise, Lovely car and well worth it! I have made a few mods to make it mine as you do but don't let it go if you can help it as they are quite rare in that condition

Just one last thing, when would the cambelt need to be replaced? Last done at 77k and it's now on 115k.

Cheers!

Tbh I'm not sure on a diesel but when I bought mine it said the belt was changed at 108k, on a petrol engine I've always changed cam belts around 70k

Mine has 179k... It's rough round the edges with little history.

It's fine though and pulls like a train...

Mechanically the tdi engine is great as it's the reliable pd vag system. Suspension and brakes are like any other car. If serviced well they are fine.

I find my biggest problem by far are electric issues. Some of which are a result of the 6 dial, some are because they let the Spanish loose on wiring.

Quick, and mine is serviced every 10k on the button its such a perfect car and I recommend them to anyone, mine is only for sale as I've got a 2 yr old and missus is preggo again so I'm looking at the a3 sportback or a ford smax
