I have got new Discs and Pads. Someone I've made friends with at VAG sorted them out for me.

Just got to fit them now.

Also in case anybody is searching as I assume all facelift 2.0TDi CR 170 Sport Techs are the same.

Rears are 255mm
Fronts are 312mm

Well done the rear discs and pads today :) Very very easy, just 2 bolts. 2 bolts! No need to remove any cables or anything.

Also....I thought the front discs although still like new, were warped. Thankfully it was the knackered rear discs that were warped and causing the brake judder. So now it's totally smooth again!

Yep, I bought a set of the wind back tools from eBay. £15 and it's a nice set too.

I thought I had to use RH for the right side and LH for the left side. Turns out on the Exeo you only use the RH one for both sides so got stumped for a little while but apart from that little hiccup, it was very easy.

You just undo the two bolts holding on the slider nut with a pair of plier to stop it spinning, disc comes off after a T27 Torx screw, then it just goes back on as easy.

Did a peugeot set a while back, they had all sorts of pins and clips, was a nightmare.

Brill mate. Was actually looking for the 'thanks' button but can't find it lol.

So eh thanks for the tip. You should try selling the left hand tool on eBay lol..

No problem at all.

I'm just over the moon that I now don't need to do the front ones as it was these rears giving all the hassle.

I'm just shocked that those rear discs could cause that much judder that it felt like the big front vented ones were warped.

Jamie,

Get Dales to look at this, my car had the same issues. I had the front discs and pads replaced under warranty, and when the rears went the same way about 2 months outside of warranty Dales got me a 50% contribution to the part costs from Seat UK.

Hi Greg,

Dales did look at them and I couldn't have been met with more useless customer service in my life. (This is the Summercourt one). I don't want to give them a single penny of my money ever again.

I'm going to try an independent specialist for 'services' from now on for the stamps and do other work myself. I've heard good things about AVS in Redruth. VAG Specialists.

:)

I only go to Scorrier!

Have heard very good reviews on AVS from some Passat and A4 owning friends.
