Hi i have just brought a Mk3 Seat Leon 1.2 tsi SE automatic. I have carried out a few modifications now ie. FR front bumper, FR back bumper, FR steering wheel, FR seats, FR 19inch wheels, FR exhaust, lowered, black pack etc. but now i have moved on to the headlights. Sadly my Leon didn't come equip with the lovely LED headlights and i'm desperately trying to fit the LED headlights that I have just purchased. I was just wondering if that is possible? or if there is a conversion loom out there?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Have a look around here for the part numbers - http://www.partsbase.org/seat/leon-leon-4-le-eu-2013-5f-d-000-001/

You will also need the level sensor and the led lights coding via VCDS after fitting.

I have been looking for a very long time and have no idea what I need to do to convert them. I've looked at the 'LED' posts but sadly I haven't found anything regarding a conversion for the headlights :(

I have found some on Ebay but they are only for 2005-2009 so unsure again if they will fit.

They are VERY expensive, and based on many reports on this forum, it's debatable if they are worth it and some have had problems with them.

The only reason why they are fitted to so many Leons is that they were a "free" option.

In Spain, where you have to pay for them, they are very rare.

Can I just ask... why didn't you buy an FR if you went for so many FR extras?

I have LED's and whilst they're OK, they could be better. I get much better light than in the old Corolla, that's for sure but whilst I like the aggressive shape of the day lights, I find the LED's ugly.

I must be one of a few people that think LED lights are fantastic best lights on a car I have ever had (and I have had a lot of cars).
I have never had a car with xenon lights so can't comment on these.

I agree with you, led lights are superb. I too have never had xenon lights but hate the damn things on some cars as they approach, they are just too bright and dazzle.

But if you had to select them from the options list for around £800, would you still have specified them?

Yes, I would. £800.00 is the least of my worries if I ended up having an accident at night because I couldn't see and had to take lots of time of work following an accident. At my age good lights are important!

I too think the LED lights are great, and my last Biza Cupra had xenons and were not as good as the 280.

I paid 1000 eur for them as they are not "free" like in the UK and I am not sorry.
Same here. LED lights were also extras (except for CUPRA models). So when ordering my FR, I was 100% sure I had to get the LED lights (800 euros). In my opinion, they are a stand-out feature of the car.

Yes, given I like them and prefer them to standard halogen lamps, I would have paid.

+1 I prefer them to xenon and I think they make a massive difference to the looks of the car. One of the stand out features of the car IMO.

They weren't free to start with in the UK, on my first mk3 had to pay for at part of the tech pack, so I imagine a few other members on here payed for then too :)
Anyway I think they are great, best lights i've had on any car, but could do with being set slightly higher from the factory
