Hi guys
I have just bought a 14 plate Seat Leon FR 184 and seat have given me the Seat Sound subwoofer to go in the boot. I'm just wondering if there is already the wires in the car for the subwoofer to go in the boot or if it requires additional wiring and if it is an expensive job.
Thanks Danny.

Hi think its been covered before but can't find thread, someone I am sure will be able to give you the answer would be interested to my self. Do you have a space saver wheel as the sub fits in the wheel.
(I THINK)

?
I could understand seat giving a customer say an air freshner and expecting then to fit it themselves, but a sub woofer

Didn't you ask then why it wasn't already fitted, surely the car needs to be ordered from the factory with the car already set up with the subwoofer installed.
Don't think it's something you can just plug in, but I might be wrong.
Or are these things removable?

Why not just go back and ask the Seat dealer

It wasn't already fitted because the car doesn't have Seat Sound system from factory production. The saleswoman just gave me it and said I could have it to sell or get fitted if possible

O I see, as the cars not set up for it, if you really want it to work you'll need an amp and power supply cables, fuses etc ( im assuming the sub doesn't have an amp build in ? ) and a adapter that will take a feed off of one of the rear speaker and convert it in to a signal to feed the amp (speaker to rca converter, not sure of the proper name, but any car stereo shop will have one) as the standard seat sound system doesn't have an rca output for the an amp, as far as I know
