Center console removal

Could anybody help me out please ?? I'm wondering if anyone has removed the centre console trim around the handbrake and armrest ?? Any how to's or pictures of attaching screws would be appreciated. I'm trying to remove the cup holders.

I've removed the bit along the side...

If you look along the panel into the footwell there is a screw. Undo this and then pull the trim downwards. That'll release the long bit and it should all become more obvious from there.

If you're struggling let me know and I'll take some pictures to show what I mean.

General question to all, did anybody of you change front 12V socket under the armrest to USB socket, like this?

I am thinking of doing it - my mobile is charged from the fuse box directly, all others should be charged from this USB socket. No reason for 12V socket in front...or??

Nah. Just plugged a dual USB socket in to the cigarette lighter thing. Then used a short PortaPow cable to the iPhone.

Hello.

I removed the side trim of center console but it revealed that i should remove also upper center panel? Or is it enaugh to screw both sides (front and back footwells) and then it unclips somehow?

The problem is that the transistor from charger fell through the hole of the cigarette lighter. So today, I thought that the torx in middle of cigarette lighter socket holds it in place, but i think that after unscrewing, something fell to the carpet, because there is no screw hole anymore. Maybe it is only possible to remove the cigarette lighter socket somehow? Real bummer..
