Update: 26 Apr 14
New foot plate now machined and fitted!
So the plate was ordered from ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160993415218?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
The plate is a well machined piece but was not finished as far as I was concerned. CNC'd and Laser cutting is obviously done en mass and shipped out.
Lots of rough edges and the bolts that where supplied just looked tacky... so went to my mates and raided the tools! He has a milling machine and lathe so I know he had the tools for this
So first step was to loose the raised counter-sink washers and counter sink the plate direct:
Then put a shallow counter on the non screw holes to finish the edges off:
De-burred and files the FR logo:
Mounted:
It looked OK but was missing something to highlight the FR logo...so using some Sugru cable repair stuff, which is a flexible rubber compound:
So mixed some up and then filled the FR logo with the compound and let it set for 24hrs:
Then a clean sharp Stanley blade to clean of the excess at the front. I left the back to ensure that it didn't just drop off.
and finished!
Had to cut down the bolts a little, but nothing the Dremel couldn't deal with

Just need to get hold of some TT pedals next to finish off.
Also picked up a bargain over the Easter holidays, 170 Piece Halfords Advance socket set for £110 from £210 original price
Thanks Ted
