280 engine coolant?

Noticed my coolant is below the minimum level today so rushed down to Halfords and was told G40 was right for the 280. No Comma coolant in stock so went with Halfords ready mixed G40. Is this the right coolant for the 280? Pinkish stuff? Thanks.

Seat use purpleish stuff. A chap at work bumped his Alhambra & was concerned when he got it back with pink that it would affect his warranty. He checked with Seat & was told all was OK.

The coolant in the tank is pinkish red, slightly concerned that it's low to be honest, usually indicates a leak.

Wouldn't worry, seems all Leon's petrol and diesel use a little coolant at some stage and there's been a few threads on it. mines flashed low coolant warning at 3k miles, topped it with G13 from vw and been 100% since. Hope this helps

Got some clear stuff from asda it was a brand make but can't remember and was suitable for all colour antifreeze.

I've just topped it up with the coolant, to just below the max indicator.

Getting it serviced soon so it'll be flushed anyway.

been seen before. Not uncommon for some air to work its way out of the system.

It should be G13, at least thats what it says on the side of the coolant tank.

I think mine might be leaking, I've had to top it up twice in 18 months.
