Red Mk2 Leon Cupra

I've done a couple of little changes over the last couple of days, all cosmetic.

Replaced both the washer bottle and coolant bottle caps with the black ones and also replaced the battery cover with the box .

Today I have noticed that the car is idling erratically, it seams to be hunting between 800 and 1500rpm anyone any ideas what it could be? I have recently changed the PCV to the latest revision one so it cant be that, all pipe work appears to be firmly attached.

I got it from Sere Motors ebay page before I realised that they have a parts request forum on here, speak to Dave in the Sere Motors thread, he should be able to supply you with one

Todays effort was to put on the Triple R rear valance, it was a straight forward job to do, just remove he screws from the bottom of the valance then pull it off and the new one just fitted right on in it's place.

I also have the front splitter to fit bu that can wait for now

My calliper spring clamps also turned up today, I got the ones of the Golf R so I sanded them down a resprayed them and put on some Cupra decals and lacquered over the top of them.



I should have them on the car some time over the next 2 weeks, most likely when the H&R's get fitted towards the end of the month

Did you use the laminx sheeting?

I used a yellow tint film from ebay

As soon as the rain stopped today I was back down at the car as I wanted to get my spacers and spring clips fitted.



The first one took me a good 15-20 minutes of trying to get it on but once I figured it out the second one went on in no time. They look so much better than the standard silver ones!

Wheel spacers fitted, 12mm at the back and 10mm at the front, now I cant wait to get the H&R's fitted on the 21st

I had to use 40mm bolts on mine to lock the wheel properly after spacers was fitted.

Yeah I had to use slightly longer radial bolts

The 12mm ones are TPI and are much better quality but unfortunately they don't do 10mm ones

No worries mate. I doubt i'll be doing a hell of a lot more to it though, It's booked in for a paint restoration next week and I am also trying to get hold of an FL tail gate at the moment

I was thinking about getting one for myself too! Really love the rearwindow reaches both sides of car instead of the pillar in each side of the pre-fl boot...
