Fr 184 sport mode sound?

Silly question probably.

How is the sound created for sport mode, someone a while ago pointed out that it's a bit annoying

I assume it's external to the car so it would be heard by pedestrians? If so the idea sounds a bit crazy to me

Any videos showing this?

There is a small speaker in the dashboard somewhere.

Often referred to as the actuator.

No idea how that differs from speaker.

You could probably unplug it if you find it irritating.

Here's a picture of the noisey bugger under the scuttle panel (circular black thing in middle of pic)

It vibrates the windscreen. When you accelarate touch the windscreen and you can feel it. there are videos on youtube showing you how to deconnect it

If you have access to VCDS then the actuator volume can be set to 0%.

Very noticeable but I think they scrapped it? Not sure from what point mind, somebody will confirm I hope.

my sep 2015 cupra has one but turned volume down to 20% using obdeleven.

I have my2016 so perhaps your right they've ditched it, I thought the guy who sold it to me, when he said listen to engine change sound, was mad as I could not hear any difference

I'm pretty sure they don't come with the new diesels, ended middle of last year I believe. Sound Actuator is the name though, you either love or hate it basically.

I believe it's on models above the 150 but your not missing anything. I think this is why they ditched it as not many like it.

Vcds or obdeleven will do it. I doubt a dealer would attempt. I'm sure someone in your area would do it for a few beer tokens
