64 now, and owned a Cupra 290 for 3 weeks.

Might seem a bit strange to some, but remember 60 + year olds are the original GTi generation.

I've owned GTis, GTi 16v, Jetta 16v, Primera GTe, Type Rs (3).

Sorry, but at 64, I'm still not ready for pipe and slippers and old man's 'comfortable' saloon.

28 & just ordered a 290 after having many Ibiza Cupra's and a couple Leon Mk2 Cupra's.. Annoyingly mine doesn't arrive until September!!!!

It's really pity how insurance system works in the UK and pathetic for young drivers

Im from HK but now living in the UK, and couldn't get insurance for the 280 Cupra (not even a 1.8FR)

Something similar within the group insurance 30-35 in HK would be like a beginners car

shaun_ccxr your comment made me think I should check the insurance on the car I've just ordered as I didn't even think of it..

My quote tells me I'm not so young any more... :(

32 here and insurance is £900 with 3 years NCD after living in London and not having a car for a few years

Ouch!

I'm 28 and have 10 years NCB and quoted £400 - That includes my wife as a named driver who's only been driving a couple years
