I was wondering if anybody uses this stuff, Torco Unleaded Accelerator? If so does it do what it says on the tin? Is it's safe & warranty safe? If so how much do folk add? I run my car on BP Ultimate 97 RON as it's the best available here, but even inside the filled cap says 98 RON, so I'd like to give it a whirl and see if there's a difference. Not as a perpetual habit, given the price.
On the instructions it says 40:1 with regular pump fuel (95 RON I'm guessing?) delivers 102 octane and 20:1 delivers 105. On that basis I'd hazard a guess 80:1 on 95 would deliver 98/99 RON or 160:1 on 97 RON would deliver 98/99RON? It comes in a 925 ml bottle for about 30 quid. So about 1/3 of a bottle in a tank (50 L tank, needs 312.5ml for 160:1, 1/3 bottle is 308 ml, roughly), a tenner for a bit of fun for a few hundred miles essentially? Or am I overoptimistic in finding a cure to Belfast's fuel quality problem?
Any knowledgable folk like to share their wisdom, or perhaps point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
