hi guys just after some info with regards bosch 550cc injectors and whether they need different seats to the stock ones in a seat leon cupra r engine is AMK?

also where would I get them from as I have one leaking?

thanks in advance

After this info too

Looking for long nozzle units, wondering if corsa vxr 630cc's will fit

Can you supply the Bosch good data sheet or map settings for these if brought from yourself Bill?

Lots of places sell these but no one wants to give up the important bits of info

considering these as well 0280158123 mostly because the long tip benefits plus more cc per £ too

Extended design long nozzle,

But from what I've found in the Bosch pdfs the spray angle is wrong

the ones I use are normal end not long tip items.
early S3/TT had long tip 386cc units which worked fine (obviously as OE)

update on my injector leaking, I bought 4 injector cups from TPS for £12.75 and got all 4 replaced, I now have no more leaking injector, a big thanks to Bill at Badger for helping cheers mate.

Bill, would you care to post good tvub values?

After calculating the offset they look real high

Also do you use the min pw on the sheet @0.711?

Why would you need to replace them?
Unless you have fake ones in ATM
In which case yes you'd be best to at least get it checked over

if I had one faulty then I would replace all four obviously, on start up it seems to splutter for a while, ive checked all the pipes and found the one that goes to the inlet manifold from the fpr split, ive sorted that out but it still does it, I thought it might be either one of the injectors or the fuel pump.

There's lots to change in the mapping to get them silky smooth in all conditions like stock.

Bill hasn't responded about the tvub settings which have a big influence at low load/low ms.

The old school way to find them is with the engine up to temp, disconnect alternator and watch fuel trims as battery voltage goes down and adjust as needed.

Obviously that's a pain in the arse if you don't have a ols300 emulator and the trim goes over -/+25%

But because people make money from 1.8t remapping still the answers are held to their chest's.

Here's a comparison of fake top and genuine 550's bottom.

If you need replacement injectors - fuelperformance sell genuines at a faction of the cost of other places

"make money" - aka earn a living.
and no I dont/wont post up mapping information and experience on a public forum for obvious reasons. Its not just TVUB but also linearity

Joe Public can do nothing with the information anyhow. Take it to a mapper who knows what they're doing and check the fuel trims and settings are running correctly. Search and folks will find the published voltage compensation data for bosch 550's (real ones)

Fakes are all over the shop, and perform both very inconsistently with terrible linearity and more worrying very imbalanced in flow terms... so not all cylinders will be running the same fuel delivery, which can never be a good thing... Lambda can only measure the sum of all cylinders not individual cylinders so you wont see a lean cylinder unless you stop during mapping and check plug colours old school way.

I've seen many fakes and they're horrible things which work nothing like the genuine ones I use/sell

I emailed Bosch they won't supply because of "sensitive information included"

I've got numerous ideas of tvub, one tuner I deal with said he uses
2.05,1.24,0.74,0.50,0.33, with fkkvs and krkte sorted he gets -2% idle trim and -4% ltft.

My car currently runs -0.8/-0.9on both stft and ltft and I want it back to that but being a 10+ year old car.

Also worth noting to anyone who searches this in future.
O ring's on injectors need changing to genuine vag ones
Picture for proof of difference.
