Interesting picture. Gear shift paddles on the steering wheel and a manual 'box. Now THAT'S clever!

2015 Leon ST FR 184 DSG

I see they have gone back to two rotary knobs on infotainment system. How long till someone alters the code so you can have knight rider dash ;)

Anybody else not a fan of these TFT screens? I like the idea of the satnav in the middle but just seems like something to go wrong, and expensive at that. Didnt the Audis have a bad habit of pixelating then costing a bomb to repair?

I'd actually be interested to see if there's any compatibility with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

The sat-nav being right in front of you is a nice feature, but it would suck if that was restricted to the built in SEAT system.

Otherwise it'd be ~£500 for a digital speedo and rev counter.

You have to admit though other than the benefit of the navigation in the centre of the clocks, there not 500 quids worth of display technology.

I am with you on this, The problem for me is that they look great in a new car but they don't last and cost a fortune to replace. My local garage told me earlier in the year that he is seeing more and more cars being scrapped because the cost of repairs is greater than the cars worth, this is one of those items because you can't drive a car without the dash, but you can without satnav.

Then like TV's we go from LCD to OLED and then we will have 2 centre monitors, then on screen display, then front and rear passenger info screens .......

I like to drive my car not look at the dash.

End of old man moaning.

I was considering delaying my order for the virtual cockpit. I spoke both with Seat Finance and my local dealership - both knew nothing about the feature.

I sent them both the link to the YouTube video which announces and demos the virtual cockpit.

They accepted the announcement but then said that it may just be coming to non UK markets early next year.

The dealership spoke with the local area manager who said that the MK3 had just been updated to this 2017 model so wouldn't expect to see it for another 12 months.

So right now I don't know what to think.
