Hello Cupra lovers..

I have a manual Cupra 300, I wanted the exhaust to give a bit more tone and grumble. So I got hold of a VAGsport resonator delete from Progressive Parts. The standard exhaust is loud at times but other times you can’t hear it unless you really plant your foot in Cupra mode. But with the sinthetic noise that comes through the speakers when in Cupra mode I hardly use it. Ironic really. So I had my resonator removed today and was very excited to hear the end result. I didn’t know what to expect sound wise as I didn’t think it would make a huge amount of difference.. I WAS WRONG. It is so loud. When accelerating from 1-2nd gear it is crazy loud. I’m still unsure if I like it being that loud. Sometimes I feel it’s good and other times it’s too much. Going to stick it out for a few weeks and see if I get used to it and begin to love it. A little apprehensive at the minute. Anyone else had the same or similar feelings?

I have full turbo back scorpion exhaust but with 1 resonater in and it’s loud when I want it to be if that makes sense, sports cars should make an appealing noise in my opinion it adds more exheliration to the drive especially in cupra, slight drone and vibration at times but I also put powerflex hybrid lower engine mount in hence why (the compromise) lol.
Put it this way if you owned a super car or any v8 (c63) and it didn’t make a loud drama you wouldn’t be happy with the car, 300 is a lovely model so enjoy and drive there’s a lot of people that would dream to have your car and the exhaust note to follow with it

Where did you purchase yours from fella as on progressive parts there seems to be 2 types

It’s very much worth doing. Especially with yours being DSG. You will get some serious pops and bangs. I got mine from progressive parts.

If you look under your car you will be able to see by the pictures on their website what version yours is as there’s 2 types. Or take a few pictures and email them and they’ll tell you (that’s what I did).

Just had my res delete fitted and wow fairly loud, didn't realise it would be that loud haha

I'm with Dominic not quite sure at the moment I'll stick it out for a few weeks and see.

How you getting on Dom with yours?

Hi Jay, glad to hear you got it done. What do you think?? It is loud, especially at first drive. I’ve gotten used to mine now so can’t tell if it’s still as loud but I do believe it’s settled down in sound over the past month or so. Just stick it out see how you feel in a month or so.

With the DSG how are you pop and bangs on gear change and overrun?

I do still find it loud especially in Cupra mode I tend to drive in individual mode which is in eco mode (great for town driving) but still makes a noise if you plant it.
Bangs and crackles alot on shifting up and down which sounds epic

I'll see how it goes for a while

Has anyone had a res delete done on a cupra300 ST? Be interested in doing this when i pick mine up but would love to hear some feedback on how it sounds and whether it drones on the motorway.
