Leon tyre pressures?

So I needed to check the tyre pressures, had a look in the book and it pointed me towards the inside of the passenger door.

41psi that can't be right can it?, I mean yes they are low profile tyres but that seems somewhat high.

its on a 17 plate ST with 225/40/18 tyres.

There should be a few pressure options depending on the load in the car on the sticker - you sure you're not just looking at the full load one? is it a Diesel?

Yep its a diesel, but it only listed 2 pressures, fully loaded at 36psi and 3 people loaded at 41psi, just seemed a tad high to me.

39 Front and 35 rear are for normal load on my Cupra 280 (235/35/19 tyres) and 42 all round fully loaded.

My 19 plate Leon FR with 225/40/18 has the attached sticker on the NSF door aperture (its hatch, not the ST).

My 19 plate Leon FR with 225/40/18 has the attached sticker on the NSF door aperture (its hatch, not the ST).

A handy thing, as my 2013 1.4 FR had the optional 18" wheels with the same 225/40/R18 alloys, but the sticker only gives pressures for 16" and 17" alloys.

I've always run them at 33psi

Must be because its diesel but it still seems high.
