Finally bite the bullet and had my 184 tdi remapped. Goes like **** off a shovel wish I got it done sooner. I've lost the dyno print out but it's now 220bhp

Took a picture :bleh:

Cupra only one month old but already waiting for new rear bumper. Neighbor practiced his parking skills and scraped one of Cupra's rear bumper side:blink:

I decided not to fill that gap up, there is a reason they want cooling going through there still. I did however open up the other side.

I also open other side. The other airboxes like r600 dont have hole for cooling through.
If you look where is this hole, there is no possible to get air direct in from front grill
(on brother golf 7 gti is more opens spots in front grill to access air in)

What were the part numbers for this please?

So is the right side of the intake blocked off? Thanks

Painted my rear bumper so it will look like a black rear defuser and also painted my mirrors black so now my FR looks more like a Cupra:)
Did it with peelable paint check out my video explaining how to do it, results at the end!
Cheers

GTE is a 1.4 100hp engine helped by electric motors that are potentially charged from the mains as well as when driving. I would say the GTE’s main focus is economy, not all out performance. Blocking the hole is probably better for airflow as not needed for cooling of the engine bay.

However as you say the tuners airboxs block the hole.

I’d think The GTE engine bay will be hotter than the regular GTI etc as it’s got less room

I believe same horses as my 1.4 act.
The internal combustion engine is a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol unit, good for 148bhp, and the gearbox is a six-speed DSG. The 75kW (101bhp) electric motor sits between the two and drives through the gearbox.

Anyway i will go for two weeks eu trip middle of summer so i can confirm if any trouble.

Same engine block maybe, likely a smaller turbo if only 100hp compared to your 148, so it will be running cooler.

DC remapping/performance in Warrington mate was £299 defo worth it gonna fill it up today and see how it effects my overall mpg etc

First tank is never a true representation... you enjoy that extra oomph too much...
