Anyone seen this before?

Basically the temp LED is always on? Only half light I would suggest, but it’s always there? Even when the cars turned off?

Good news! This is fixed... when I say fixed, it seems my car is self healing. its gone away now, so I figure theres nothing to worry about. Right?

I fitted the subframe spacer kit yesterday and took the car for a run last night and it seems to have resolved the knock. There is a slight click but I’m not sure if it hasn’t always done that.

I also took the opportunity to check all the other bolts were torqued up. Everything was fine so at least nothing’s about to fall off...

It’s really easy to fit so I didn’t bother with any pics, also there’s a guide online that’s shows what you need to do.

I’ve been picking up odds and sods over the last few months and finally started to fit some of them, I’ve started the radiator hoses which was just as well as one was quite badly worn / rubbed and I’m not sure how long it had left.

I’ve also used some of the hard TIP Kit but not all of it as it won’t fit to the standard turbo.

For some reason I did a few hose pipes at a time... so still half a dozen to do but it seems very timely to do them now given what I found.

Also I need a new rear caliper, maybe not surprisingly, it’s started to bind a bit, which I noticed mainly as I only get 500 miles to a tank now... so I’ll be looking to do that sooner rather than later. I’ll probably replace the pads at the same time and tidy up the discs etc.

Finally, I’ve picked up a set of 18” cupra wheels, although I actually need to collect them, was supposed to yesterday but it didn’t work out, so maybe next Monday.

They need some TLC, but I’m not going to do a huge amount until I need new tyres.

Getting to the point where I know what @Legojon feels like... binding brake is so bad that I only got 36mpg today... I’ve backed it off and to be honest it didn’t feel too bad. I’ve bought a new caliper anyway so we’ll see how we go and I’ll replace it sooner rather than later... also I’ll probably be using the van for a while until I get it sorted.

You get better mpg than me even with your brakes jammed on.

Wonder if the upcoming r-tech map will help as the Revo runs really rich.

Haha. It’s been a pitifully low mileage tank... but still better than a petrol.

A less thirsty map will surely help, 2-3mpg more will make all the difference!

Basically it’s a sill protector for using the jack. Simple things.

Also picked up the wheels from @Aidanr97

I’ll get some reconditioned in time, gives me an option for winter tyres as well.

Good to see you yesterday bud. Those rubber jack sill protectors are brilliant!

I was looking at one of these but wasn't sure if they were worth it.

For £15 it’s probably worth a punt. From what I’ve seen it’ll work pretty well.

Fitted the new rear caliper, all seems well again.

I was wrong, I have a very long brake pedal, bled it twice now and its marginally better than it was but still goes very long when the engine is running and the servos have kicked in. Might have to try bleeding all the calipers I suppose.

Take the new calliper of the disc get a bottle with some brake fluid in and a pipe connected to the bleed nipple and in the bottle as if you was going to bleed it open the nipple and Wind back the piston when all the way home close the nipple pump the pedal a few times and do the same again till you get no air coming out from the calliper that should sort your problem

Ah okay that makes sense, some air behind the caliper possibly. I’ll give that a go when it stops raining... cheers
