Been a while since I’ve used this but always found useful advice on here so hopefully will get it again!

I’ve recently bought the Cupra R bumper insert (or whatever they’re called!) and wanted to change the copper colour to match my Monsoon Grey. Does anyone know anywhere that would be able to paint this for me? I’m located in the midlands but could travel if not too far. Ideally I don’t want to get it wrapped and I doubt there is a wrap colour of monsoon grey. Bit of a long shot I know but thought it might be worth an ask on here!

Has anyone else fitted them, and if so what do you do with the fog lights? cheers

Try Fulldip or Plastidip. I'm going to get some Fulldip spray to spray the copper badges black on the front and back.

Have a look on here

Any decent local bodyshop will be able to do that for you. Wouldn’t bother with any kind of plasti-dip, results are not great and will be easily stonechipped.

Apparently the UK version of the Plasti-dip is rubbish and you need the American version

Aye the american one that is worse than plutonium for you

The list of harmful substance’s in it is crazy, causes birth defects in pregnancy and stuff like that

Will they be able to make the paint if I supply the paint code or will I have to provide the paint myself?

It s an easy job , you need a friend and some patience, the fog lights grill don t have any screw , try turning your wheel max left and right , unscrew the mud protectors and you get acces to the back of the fog lights grill , it has 2 pins that you have to push and another guy to pull the grill and it pops out ( i ve circled you where you find them , 2 on the left and one behind that radiator ) , after you ve done that unscrew the fog light and take it out , unplug the cable and put it behind a plastic ( you will see in the photos bellow ) then you will mount the new grille and that s it

Nice job. So you just unplug the cable and no complaints from the car?

Im doing the same on mine, but desire red. The copper bit will need sanding down, priming and painting most likely.
Well that answers my question... definitely getting the copper bits painted red. I personally don't think it suits the red car and black on the grills would be too much.

Curious to see how will it be with them painted red
