Wheel Fitment

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows if I’ll be able to fit 18x8.5 rims onto my 2012 Seat Ibiza. I’m looking at a set of Ispiri CSR1D and that’s the smallest they do them.

plus depends if your lowered and what offset, personally I think 8.5 is too wide for the car, I have 7.5 ,lowered on a 45offset but still get some rubbing on inner liner on biggish bumps

Yeah I will be lowered once I’ve decided on the wheels but that was my concern that 8.5 would be too wide. Back to looking for wheels for now I guess.

I run 18x8j et35 all round. The front fits but there’s not much space between the wheel and the coilover, but you could definitely fit wider on the back!

Can you still turn with full lock with 8j on the front? And have you had arch work done?

Just going to add to my earlier reply in saying when doing some investigation into my rubbing issue I found with my 18s and 35mm wall tyre it was actually rubbing on the very top of my side skirt where it wraps round into the wheel well, I couldn't see any marks at all on the liner.
I've trimmed this off and tested on a divet in the road it always rubbed and no rubbing can be heard.

No arch work, and car seems fine at full lock, never have any issues (that I know of).

Yes, 18s do fit, you do have to run pretty low profile tyres though. At the moment I’m on 215/35/18. Like above, I’d probs go no wider than an 8” on the front, and could probs get away with 8.5” on the rear
