Currently looking to buy the above in Magnetic grey. 13 months old, one owner, 4500 miles and pristine.

Haggled down (main dealer) to £22,800 - seems good to me.

What do you guys reckon?

£20,475??!! There is absolutely nothing priced that low!
There are cars from main dealers on Autotrader priced around that level.
In terms of the OP's question. I'd say the price is a little high. I paid not much more than that for a new Cupra 4drive with electric sunroof and 5 year warranty. So, looks a little pricey to me.

Second hand prices are a little odd at the moment due to supply and demand. There appear to be very few lease deals (PCH/PCP) which means less demand for new and thus less 2nd hand cars ‘nearly new’ on the market.

For example, I have an 18 month old 19 plate 3 series that is currently worth more (on paper) than I paid for it 12 months ago.

As per @seatgraham I paid a little north of £25k for fairly high spec Cupra ST brand new, so this one appears high in price.

Okay guys, the challenge is on!

Link me the ads currently on A/T for a 290 Cupra Hatch / 2019 (69) / less than 5k miles and for less than £21k.

Believe me, I've spent the last few days looking at what's there.

Again, link one to me. The only overpricing I've seen is by Letchworth SEAT, noticeably higher than most equivalents.

£22,800 is the best I can get in the southeast, for the colour, age and mileage that I want.

Is the colour important?

One on SEAT site here for starters in white, so probably some room to haggle too.

Alternatively, don’t let on the the colour is important, and use the price of this one to negotiate the one that you want.

Remember this an average price with 20k miles. Area, demand, colour, options all make the difference buddy. The best question you have to ask yourself is "do I like it ? does it have the spec I want ? am I prepared to pay the price ?" at the end of the day if it ticks all the boxes then it doesn't matter about anything else, go for it.

Just noticed that I added £1k to the price I should have said in my OP.

£22,800 is what I've haggled down to. More palatable to some I hope!

Well that's the whole point then - I wasn't referring to a 20k miles car, but at 4k miler.

Can't be many one year old examples with 20k on the clock either. That's going some!

What's with the tone ?, only trying to help mate, I was merely explaining the price from Parkers was standard and at 20k miles so if you adjust for mileage etc the price they are asking probably isn't to far away.

Just highlighting that I did say a £4k miler, not a 20k miler.

Are Parker's suggesting that 20k miles is an average for a year old car?

I know you said 4k miles and again it was just to give you an idea of price. Around my neck of the woods the average price for the car you are referring to (under 4k miles) is around £23k/£24k depending on spec.

£22,800 is pretty good then as I initially thought. There aren't any sub £21.5k examples at a year old, as suggested by others.
