Hi mate, yeah the coolant bottle needs a little work to look right, if you want the washer bottle to work you will have to swap to the s3 so it it fits in the gap properly or put a bottle neck in the side clue and seal it properly and so you have no gap around the covers edge make a cover plate, this is a pic of what I did on mine.

I like what you've done there mate, what did you make the infill piece with exactly?
Did you bond it to the underneath of the S3 cover?

I slightly trimmed and tweaked my coolant cover to slot around the wing and slam panel.
It seems to fit pretty well although wouldn't mind an extra fixing towards the front to secure it a bit better.

As mentioned above you ideally need the matching S3 8L washer bottle as it's taller and the filler opening is rotated on the cover. 5L as opposed to the standard Leon one at 3L.

I managed to source a brand new old stock mk4 Golf 5.5L bottle for pittance so made the cover fit around that instead.

The battery cover isn't quite so simple and I've yet to return to addressing this side.

After many months of hunting down an unbroken S3 battery cover mounting plate it turns out the slam panels differ in height so the cover sits too high FFS!
Apparently I need a different battery box surround with integral cover mounts which should drop the height marginally.

Hi mate
I made a template which looks like a hockey stick and cut the shape out of plate which you can get from a body shop which is a clamp fit between the inner and outer wing using existing bolts on wing and crash panel. The s3 covers a interference fit via the clips on the underside of the cover and the top retaining bolt, if you want the template let me know and I will send it on to you you will have to trim and shape it to get a perfect fit,the bottom clip has to be made double thickness or it will be a loose fit

A template would be great thank you, I should be able to knock it up at work anyway.
