Leasing have been pretty good with my updates. Every couple of weeks. Dealer advising will be with them 5th July, then 7th July, then back to 5th July. Then on the 22nd June I got a further update saying it had arrived into stock! It’s being delivered Monday, which was the earliest date given to receive the car. So all in all, they’ve been pretty spot on mate. Hope they’re as accurate with yours. ????

I placed my order in mid April, originally given a date of build week 24 (end of June), then got another build week date of feb next year so I contacted the lease company who told me the system was playing up and the dates will definitely come forward, don’t want to cancel as the I‘lol go to the back of the queue and the prices have gone up massively
That’s poor. What model have you ordered? I’m waiting for a VZ3, no definite date yet, ordered mine mid April too.
How did you get your build date? Did the dealer contact you to let you know, or is there some way of tracking the progress of your build? Ordered my new Formentor a couple of weeks ago and was told it should be here in December, but don’t have any other info and if could keep a track of it that would be good.
Hi mate, I ordered at the end of April and build week was scheduled for last week. Would be surprised if yours was a Feb build. Was given a weeks notice for build week from leasing company. Ordered VZ3 so don’t know if this Willis make a difference. Wouldn’t have thought so.
The lease company sent me a build week in may so I assumed they had already secured a build slot
I was sent a email with the build week back in may, which I thought was great as my old car lease ran out at the end of June so all the dates worked out great, then they sent me a second build date only to tell me it will come forward after I challenged the date
I was told by Leasingoptions that unfortunately my car won't make it's build schedule (which was 26th July - still in the future but apparently it's definitely not happening then!)

So the build week was never locked in then, it was only provisonal which is subject to change.
23/04/21 although I took a build slot that had already been ordered. They didn't say when they ordered the spec from their supplying dealer (VZ2 310hp in graphene grey with black interior no options) but said it the order was made "a while ago" back in April!
Indeed! Just checked, the 26 July was the estimated to dealer delivery date, not build date, you're absolutely right!
explains why on the 03/07 they emailed me to say it didn't go into build as planned which is a good couple of weeks before their ETD date

Not good at all,,,i got the same email as you got in the first email saying car should be at the dealers 30th august .........i wont hold my breath ,,,,if i get a reply like yours i will request a cancelation and buy a second hand car all this pissing about waiting for a car is crazy why dont they come clean and be honest .
I also ordered mid April from dealer. Originally told 10 weeks max for delivery. No options and standard colour vz2. This then changed to having a week 27 build date which I was told was last week. When I called last week I was told oh actually it was supposed to be built in June. Finally I was told that it is built but waiting for a backorder part, assuming the chip, and to check back in a few weeks for an update lol. The dealer didn't know this, had to contact cupra directly.
I get the feeling they won't be giving out solid build and delivery dates this year and considering cancelling now.
I ordered in April (V2 190bhp) and was originally given approx build date of wk26, moved to wk 24, then week 36! Last week I contacted my dealer and was told was being built last week (wk27), so whilst it is all a bit all over the place, things do seem to be moving. My dealer is fully expecting to hand over the car in 3weeks or so. I wonder if the shortages of certain parts/chips depend on models as it sounds like VZ2 or VZ3 are the current ones being delayed. Hopefully those who have been given revised dates/no dates will get some good news too like I did
Good luck hope that's the case. As I said mine has been built 3 weeks ago. So I don't think build date means much. Still can't give me a rough delivery estimate due to waiting for the part.
I'm clinging onto hope...even to point of watching ships trying to guess which one my car might be on! I will be really miffed if it turns out that it has been built but parked up waiting for bits. I hope yours gets resolved soon. All this waiting better be worth it!!
Just got this update from leasing options. The dealer has advised that has a confirmed build of week 29 (11/7) and due to arrive with them on 30/08

Good news, much better than worst case scenario we were discussing earlier.
BTW, I orderd BMW which is already in stock (somewhere in port) and it will take 8-10 weeks to get that. So Cupra is not bad. At least cars are quickly delivered from factory to the dealer.
