Norfolk, Next To The Sea ?
Hi guys.

As posted on a recent thread, my 2020 Leon 1ltr TSi SE Dynamic has recently broken down a couple of times due to a dodgy battery and the car not starting. The battery has now been replaced but I am now looking to buy a decent jump starter just In case the battery goes iffy again and the car won't start. At least then I'll be able to start the car myself without having to wait ages for the breakdown truck to arrive.

So I was just wondering If anybody can personally recommend a decent car battery jump starter that won't break the bank?

Cheers guys ?

Thanks for the reply. And funny enough, I went to Halfords this morning Intending to buy the NOCO NB40, but was told that they only had the NB50 In stock. It cost me a bit more but I bought It anyway. It's now fully charged and will go In the Leon's glove compartment first thing tomorrow morning ?

Nice, I had the same situation once when the battery of my old car was dying, luckily I had friends with me so they pushed the car and I could jump start it, but after that I got the Noco so I would never be in this situation again, better be safe :p

I've got the 3ltr one from Halfords, I had an issue with my motorbike.
Brilliant bit of kit even started a flat forklift!

Also, I ordered the case for It yesterday as well. It cost £18 for the case but reading the reviews from some of the NOCO owners It's supposed to be a really good buy. Due to the fact of being able to fit the jump leads, cable and charging socket In the case with the unit as well. Have you also got the case?

I was also looking at a much cheaper and smaller unit. But I decided to spend a bit more and bought something a bit more powerful. This Is the booster unit that I was originally going to buy for about £40. I think the power output was 500a whereas the dearer GB50 Is 1500a.

I have that case and it does fit the jumper and stuff in perfect, not had to use it in anger yet, but in the boot and ready just in case.
I totally agree with what you say Seastormer. The jumper fits Into the case nice and snugly and the jump leads and car charging adapter also fit well behind In the pocket. Definitely a good buy me thinks ?

Hi guys, my issue still not resolved, currently using the EVSE cable to charge the car and wait for the 12v battery to drain again.
So I've bought a noco gb40 to jump the car if it happens again, as that's all seat assist do.
As the 12v battery is in the back in the hybrid leon, there are two posts to jump the car from under the bonnet, I've located the positive one in the fuse box, can someone confirm this is the negative one below?
