should you change DSG gearbox oil?

Hello guys. I have a Leon MK 3.5 which is 20.000 KM right now ( DSG ) , does these cars must change gearbox oils after some time? or are the oils are lifetime on gearboxes?

The DSG should have a fluid and filter change with system flush every 40000 miles. Plenty of YouTube clips on this.

Plenty of YouTube clips for the 6 speed DSG in a hatchback Cupra, or other DSG variants.
None for the 7 speed DQ381 found in the ST, and it has a few quirks and differences around servicing, but still doable if you do your research.

You will probably need some special tools (pump and filler adapters) depending on what filling method you use.

I did my DQ381 7 speed a few months back.

It's not just 40k miles, it's every 4 years regardless of mileage
Same as the Diff being 30k or 3 years

I thought in other applications (S3 / Golf R) the DQ381 interval was 80,000 miles. Sounds a lot though.

Yes, I was under the impression that the service interval had increased for the 7spd box too.
