Has anyone else had problems with controlling the heated seats on a mk 4 Leon (e-hybrid version)? Mine is a 1.4tsi e-hybrid Xcellence just two months old and the touch screen controls for the front seat heating don't always work. The front passenger seat in particular comes on initially but quickly switches itself off - we've found that if she wriggles around a bit or puts something heavy on her lap it will come on again! (She's average build by the way :). We've also had an occasion where my drivers seat would not switch off, the passenger seat would not switch on at all, and neither of the cabin temperature controls worked!
Anyone else had this sort of thing happen?

Unfortunately several software errors and bugs are present in these cars, usually pressing and holding the infotainment power button until the Seat logo appears will reset the problem for a while. You can try to contact the dealership for an update, or warranty repair if this doesn't work.

I don't have heated seats but the cabin temperature is all over the place, I've never had a climate system before where you have to constantly adjust the temperature to remain comfortable.

Thanks BoomerBoom, I'll try the reset you suggest next time it happens.

I’ve read of similar issues on a Golf forum where the passenger seat heating in a mk8 Golf was switching itself on and off when the seat is occupied. Don’t know if or how it was fixed - sorry ?.

Try pressing either side of the heat control at the same time … ie one finger on cold one finger on hot as this also controls the heated seat

Kinda defeats the purpose of climate control doesn’t it? Rarely have to adjust the setting except if outside temp changes a lot during a longer journey.

Also note the heated seats have an Auto setting once it has “learned” your usage. Regarding heater control/temp, In the current weather (peeing down) have mine set at 21 all the time and it’s just right, or a little higher if it’s a bit cold in the morning.

Do you have a picture of that, maybe?

When you select the heated seats it will show you a progress bar as “learning” and once completed it will show “auto” as in picture below. If you select heated seats, then settings (cog in middle) it will show you the page (further down), that allows you to reset etc.

Interestingly I have none of these options on mine.
Didn’t think it was unique to the Formentor. The interior/etc is identical, the only other info is there was a change for MY22 cars and the tell tale is the rear heater controls are haptic.

Damn, these are so complicated on touch screen only climate controls. Thank goodness on the A3 (latest one) I have it's old school buttons. 1st press turns it on max, subsequent press, mid, low, and off!
