1st world (new car) problems

Hello all, happy Friday!
I love my car and it makes me grin every time I get in it…..now that I’ve forbidden the display to mention any reference to MPG (my last car was a Tiguan 190 TSI which was awful mpg as well so I’m managing ok), but…..
Why do my mirrors randomly sometimes choose a new setting when the car knows it’s me.
Why can’t I just have a hot bum instantly rather than jabbing through menus.
Why does the heated steering wheel think it’s ok to burn the skin off my hands regardless of the level I’ve set.
Why can’t I save my music to a hard drive-there’s no USB for me to plug in my Duran Duran discography.
And most importantly why does my takeaway coffee cup disappear up to the lid so I can’t get it out?
like I said. 1st world problems. Any advice appreciated.

Isn't there a USB C?

You can get a USB stick that has both USB C and regular USB at the same time (quite nifty design) - you plug it into your USB C connector and the car will offer it as a drive to play music from. That's how I do it.

Don't know why the mirrors do that but they do Hahaha. Mine only did it once so hopefully yours will not repeat too. There's plenty more to "look forward to" that your Formentor will randomly do.

I usually find at night it's quicker to just use the screen rather than fumbling around trying to press the non-illuminated buttons like this.

If the ‘little jig’ is the wipers moving 0.5 - 1.0 centimetre or so from where they were previously parked on the screen, it’s a VAG thing (all of the VW’s I’ve owned have done this). It does it so the wiper blades don’t always come to rest on the same side of the blade - the rationale being that it should prolong the life of the wiper blade rubbers.
