It’s not as simple as parking it on the forecourt with a “For Sale” sign – there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes to ensure every vehicle meets high standards and is ready to impress. Here's a little insight into the process:
1. Appraisal
The first step is a thorough vehicle appraisal once it arrives on-site. This includes checking the bodywork for any damage, measuring tyre tread depths, and inspecting the interior's overall condition. It’s the initial “health check” to identify what needs attention.
2. Multi-Point Inspection (MPI)
Next, the vehicle goes through a detailed multi-point inspection in the workshop. This involves checking the mechanical and technical systems to make sure everything works perfectly. For franchise dealerships like SEAT and CUPRA, the car needs to meet the manufacturer’s stringent approved-used standards. All of our technicians are manufacturer approved and have been through a series of assessments and testing, meaning there really is no one better to be working on our cars!
3. Workshop Repairs
If any issues are flagged during the MPI or appraisal, they’re taken care of in the workshop. Whether it’s replacing a tyre or fixing minor dents, this step ensures the car is in top-notch condition.
4. Valeting
Now it’s time for a deep clean! The car gets a professional valet, which means every inch is cleaned and polished – inside and out. From vacuuming the carpets to adding that final shine to the paint, the valet team makes it look as good as new.
5. Merchandising
Here’s where the car gets dressed up for its big debut. High-quality photos and a video are taken to showcase the car’s best features. These are then used in online listings and promotional materials so you can view the car in all its glory.
6. Time for Sale
Finally, the car takes its rightful place on the forecourt and on its online listing, looking its absolute best!
