Model Year 23/24 Broken rear vent fin

Does anyone know anywhere I may be able to get a replacement vent fin for the rear vent. A heavy handed (or footed) 8yr old seems to have had some fun with mine, but I'm advised I need to buy the whole unit.

Happy with an aftermarket fin if it does the job but can't seem to find one.

Hoping someone out there can help

If so, will it not pop back together?

Unfortunately the tiny little hook that joins the part to make all the vents move together has broken off

I’ve read on VW Golf forums of similar (the same?) rear vents in the Golf suffering the same fate.

Unfortunately, I doubt the fins are available separately, so a new vent assembly might be your only option.

Yes £67 from seat direct parts inc. postage. Trying to see if I can get a 2nd hand one for less.

Maybe able to sell the parts I don't use I guess!

That was my first call and they were more expensive, but may go back and see if they will better SDP.

My home made fix for the cost of a cheap jewellers drill (£6.99) and a paperclip seems to have worked. Will see how long it holds up following testing by my 8yr old
