Hi all,
This is my first topic in the group, I had succeeded in changing the red color in doors for my FR 2022 ehybrid to select from 12 colors. (i don't have smart ambient light)
Of course by using OBD 11 long coding, as it's not available in 1 click application
??

I don't have the smart ambient light too and I was told that I could not have it after buying the car, do you know if that is correct or is it just electronic disabled or if it can be "turned" on using OBD11 for example ?
Regards

Wrap around lights need to be installed from the factory. I have the option to turn them on and change colours but don’t work.

The 12 colours can be added. I done it through odb and works perfect.

If anyone is wondering about coding the color selection:

To have it select the color by drive mode:

Go into:
09:
Adaption:

-ambient lighting:
>Farbwahl_ueber_fahrprofil > installed
>Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_waehlbare_Kopplung_Status_hmi_default > active
>Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_waehlbare_Kopplung > active

To select the color manually:

once you have enabled the menu from:

5f:
Adaption:

-Vehicle menu operation:
>menu_display_ambient_illumination > active
>menu_display_ambient_illumination_over_threshhold_high > active

09:
Adaption:

-ambient lighting:
>Farbwahl ueber HMI > installed
>Ambientemenue mit allen Zonen > active
>Ambient_Farbliste_HMI > active
>Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_waehlbare_Kopplung_Status_hmi_default > active

-interior lighting, parameter:
>p_farbauswahl_HMI:

this is binary, so 0 is disabled, 1 is enabled. I have no idea in which order the colors are, but basically just add 1's to enable more colors in the list of color selections.

If this doesn't work for you, maybe do the same with "p_ambienteumfang_HMI"

Depending on your car, you might have to define the selectable color channels as well!
However, I think this is only on older cars and I have no idea how to do it :s
Let's hope your car has them predefined ?
Otherwise reply #3 talks about it in this thread:

Could you guide me through this a bit more im not sure if im not reading it right or not. I have a 211 mk4 seat leon. That has white led and red side door panels and the rest are white like foot rest and centre console where your phone rests. No wrap around. When I plug obd11 in and go to central eletrics (09) adaptations. I cant find just the normal ambient light it shows 4 separate ones or interior light fuctions and stuff

I am fairly certain that your car does not support rgb. Cars fitted with red and white lighting usually only support those two colors ... 😕
My car is also a 2020+ so it has the new mmi.
Maybe send me a picture of your ambient lighting menu (if you have that enabled).

If you have the menu enabled you could try these steps first maybe:

09:
Adaption:

-ambient lighting:
>Farbwahl ueber HMI > installed
>Ambientemenue mit allen Zonen > active
>Ambient_Farbliste_HMI > active
>Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_waehlbare_Kopplung_Status_hmi_default > active

-interior lighting, parameter:
Here you have 3 values, each with 3, 5 and 3 digits these refer to colors you can enable through the mmi. A 1 is enabled and a 0 is disabled (these are bits).
>p_farbauswahl_HMI by default should have 110 for you (red/white, white/red, and another color i cannot remember).
Since your car seems to be able to do white and red.

Try enabling the third digit (color) and restart your mmi (hold the power button).
Then check the ambient lighting menu in your car and select the newly added color. If it doesn't work properly then you know your car cannot do more colors than white and red 😅

The way you make it sound you should at least be able to enable your cars doors to not only be red, but also white :)

Thanks for your reply. I am just back from the car so I will look into it tomrrow. I followed a different guide that managed to get the menu up and I can pick either red and white. But only them 2 so ill have a look more tomorrow
