Anyone know where I can source a spare parcel shelf chord without having to spend nearly £20 from SEATparts or Cupra directly?

The plastic plug which pops onto the tailgate has broken so wont hold on properly....

Not a tight a*se but it seems an excessive price for something so small...

Ha, one was missing when I picked up mine, luckily I emailed on day of pickup to say it wasn't there. They never replied to my message so next time I was in (to pick up the second key they couldn't find) and when I went to order it and found the cost I complained, and they said I should have notified them ... salesman found the email and they provided it free. Ridiculous price for a bit of plastic and string.

If you're not prepared to pay 20 quid (quite rightly), you may have to visit a breakers yard or be prepared to adapt something like this -

AliExpress Link

The cord is way too long, but I'd imagine you can drill though the bottom connector, pull the cord through until it's the right length, then glue & cut it. Also I suppose you're taking a risk on the top clip fitting, but it's what I'd do in your situation.

As you'd be buying two, you could replace both and sell your oem spare on Ebay lol - they're worth 20 quid, apparently!
