I have recently purchased a Cupra Formentor VZ3 2025 and have noticed an issue with the panoramic sunroof. Sometimes the Sunroof decides to close fully first time and other times it takes 30+ attempts at closing the Sunroof before it actually decides to fully close. On the occasions that the sunroof is playing up, It typically begins to close and right at the last second it stops and begins to retract back again. It's almost as if it is detecting excessive pressure as its shutting and deciding to open back up again. I've checked the tracks for any dirt/debris and it all looks good. I've also sprayed some silicone spray into the tracks and on the sunroof runners, however this still doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this issue? I'm going to contact a cupra garage to get them to look at it, but just wondered if anyone on here has had this kind of issue before. Many thanks.

The roof control module (interior light unit) can cause this issue.

Going to be purchasing a VZ3 myself when I've sorted a few other things and it's something that comes up a lot across multiple owners

Seems trying holding the lock button on the key can sometime work, but sounds like the modules are a bit cheap and need replacements - post back on here once garage have had a look and let us know how you got on....

Yes will do, it's booked in for the end of Feb. I'll post back on here with the outcome...
