Groaning whining sound coming from driver side Leon fr 1.8tsi 2013

A groaning sound is coming from engine bay near drivers side. The sound starts at around 1800rpms and disappears past 2000rpms. And when I de accelerate and it gets to 2000rpms the sound is back. This happens across all gears and the sound goes away past 2000rpms or as soon as the turbo kicks in.

i just had it serviced today and the sound seems to have gone.

So I asked him to check the turbo shield and just look out for the noise but he told me he couldn’t hear anything.

Done an oil change and oil filter
Spark plugs
Air filter

After the service I’ve had no sound which is weird.
