OK button not working

My OK button on the steering wheel (right side) has stopped functioning, is there any way I can diagnose or fix the issue?

The scroll works fine but pressing it does nothing, and neither does holding it.

I lose functionality of all the buttons on the right hand side annually, normally in October.

They gradually return to functioning correctly after a few weeks and are fine until the next year.

The buttons come as a pair, both sides with a cable linking them

Thanks for the replies, does anyone have any tips or a guide on taking the trim off? I want to try give the button a clean before getting a replacement.

I took the airbag out & then the two torx screws holding the buttons+middle trim in place but I tried everything and couldn’t physically take the buttons out without feeling like i’m going to break them.

Tried loads of trim tools too, but they felt like they were wedged in incredibly tight!

Update - Sprayed some WD40 Contact Cleaner between the gaps of the trim and the button now works!

I tried IPA before this but it didn’t do anything, but the contact cleaner worked a charm.
