I'm new to my Leon. Sometimes, when pulling away after being parked, the electronic parking brake doesn't seem to want to release immediately. Mostly it's fine, occasionally it hesitates slightly (you can feel the brake holding the car back momentarily before releasing) and very occasionally, it just feels like it doesn't want to release until I stop pulling away then try again. Anyone else? Am I doing something wrong?

I have the same issue. I think it helps when you press the brake pedal once before leaving, or manually releasing the parking brake by pulling up on the parking brake button before leaving.

Mine does it too. If I want to pull away while the e-brake is still on, it will have some momentary resistance before releasing, which can make the car jump a bit once the brakes release, lol.
I also tried putting just a small amount of gas on the pedal, thinking it would let go of it more smoothly, but it usually isn't enough to auto-release, so the car tries to pull while still having the e-brakes locked :ROFLMAO:

Since then, I just don't bother with this and manually release the e-brake before I set off.

Never have actually this issue.
After starting I always press the gas pedal slightly and release it.
After this the brake release and the car starts to roll.
Then it is driving like normally.

Only when you stand fully stil and press gas you feel that it delivers the requested torque directly. Instead of start slowly.

Whe the petrol engine it runs and you break by release gas. The last part you feel the clutch disengage.

Only does two moment you feel the forces on the driveline

Auto Hold - Adaptation of the dynamic Start-Off

STG 03> Adjustment> Channel "Dynamic pull"> Value adjust

"Early" > Brake is released quickly and with little gas (barely or not at all perceptible, no jerk) "Normal" > Factory setting (up jolt) "late" > Brake can go late and only relatively much gas (Strong jerk)

Especially when maneuvering the factory setting "Normal" can interfere, as it slightly more gas must give up disengages the brake. Especially in tight parking spaces that may be critical because the car leaps forward. The "early" setting is ideal if you want to use Auto Hold!
