I'm new to my Leon. Sometimes, when pulling away after being parked, the electronic parking brake doesn't seem to want to release immediately. Mostly it's fine, occasionally it hesitates slightly (you can feel the brake holding the car back momentarily before releasing) and very occasionally, it just feels like it doesn't want to release until I stop pulling away then try again. Anyone else? Am I doing something wrong?

I have the same issue. I think it helps when you press the brake pedal once before leaving, or manually releasing the parking brake by pulling up on the parking brake button before leaving.

Mine does it too. If I want to pull away while the e-brake is still on, it will have some momentary resistance before releasing, which can make the car jump a bit once the brakes release, lol.
I also tried putting just a small amount of gas on the pedal, thinking it would let go of it more smoothly, but it usually isn't enough to auto-release, so the car tries to pull while still having the e-brakes locked :ROFLMAO:

Since then, I just don't bother with this and manually release the e-brake before I set off.
