Might be a bit late if you’ve already ordered but I would have consider other options before placing an order with a Cupra dealer;
  • Buying - car broker Drive the Deal are showing Cupra on their website as one of the car manufacturers that they offer discounted prices on. They’re listing the Raval and offering a circa 12.5% discount off list price on the V2 Launch Edition (discount includes the Govt. EV grant). PCP APR looks good too @2.9% and there’s a finance deposit contribution of £1,000 for customers who qualify for Cupra’s loyalty programme; I’m assuming this is existing Cupra owners, which you are. Discounts offered by Carwow dealers can also be quite good (sometimes better than Drive the Deal) - I’ve not looked to see if Carwow dealers are offering discounts on the Raval yet but worth checking out.
  • Selling your existing car; In addition to We Buy Any Car (WBAC), car buying services that get positive mentions on forums are Motorway and Carwow. WBAC tend to be ‘less generous’ with their (usually lowball) valuations than other car buying services’ valuations. With any car buying service, always be 100% honest about your car’s condition and declare any damage / defects however small (e.g. stone chips, parking scratches and dings) so any initial indicative valuation doesn’t get knocked down when the car is viewed.
In your position, I’d get check out the valuations various car buying services websites so you can see how they compare to the dealer’s p/ex valuations; if they’re better that what the dealer is offering you, you can decide how to use them in your discussions with the dealer.
If you could get a much better deal using the above options than the deal offered by your Cupra dealer, you could consider cancelling your order, although check the small print in your order documentation to see if you’d forfeit any deposit you might have paid. Alternatively, your dealer might be prepared to match - or get close to - the best broker price for a new Raval and the best car buying service valuation for your existing car.
When I bought my current car (not a Cupra or any other VAG brand), I got the dealer to pretty much match the best broker price and their p/ex valuation on my existing car was close the best car buying service valuation. The dealer was also local to me and the service from them from the initial enquiry stage to car collection day and subsequent after sales servicing has been excellent.
Thank you for your suggestion.
I went and got a quote from Drive the Deal. It came up with an impressive saving on my my model ordered Raval extreme. When I read the small print at the end of the quote all the savings were the same as what my dealer offered which were metallic paint off £695 a loyalty contribution of £1000 EV Grant £1500 thousand pounds. Plus contribution towards deposit.

Seen one now. You probably need to be less than 6'1" / have good flexibility. Here Maps as one thought and 3D graphics on landmarks something we are use to on the mib2 high possible 3/4. You can use your Car Play or Android Auto.

Nothing in the demo appstore at the minute. Sennheiser sound system worked well. Dealer had to be treated to my Seif Keita remix tracks on flac and the intensity setting. That pseudo surround sound system.

They sold one today already on the demo car.

For the technically inclined. Android Automotive:

When you refer to 6 foot one and flexibility, are you talking about accessing the front seats or back seats?

Front driving seat. Never tried the back. Seat full up for height, driver seat fully back, steering wheel fully back. The dealer indicated that the steering wheel really needed to be placed further back but hey ho. Probably aren't designed for us less than youngsters but then quite a few people drive low cars I wouldn't buy. Probably on their weekly rehab sessions of a minute on each piece of equipment gives them flexibility :unsure:

Thanks for the heads-up, excuse the pun. It sounds what I want. I moved from a Leon to a Born. I like the the Born, but miss a lower driving position and the steering wheel I find too far back. My first car was a mini. Maybe I am trying to relive my youth!

The seat also has the electric seat that tracks back when the door is opened, bit like those Leon cars dealers use to give me a lift back home in when the car was being serviced, I fall out on the road staggering saving I need more time... I'm not anti SUV as some are.

Ah minis, yes use to be driven to Northampton shopping when I was a little boy with the pull coord to open the door... least as I remember it. The original model and year one or so of them. Mother use to loan me out to a women that had no children but had a boxer dog 😂. Woof. Her husband played away.
