Raval VZ Extreme

I got to spend some time with a Cupra Raval VZ Extreme at the Cupra City Garage in Manchester. Was only static but thought I would share some photographs and thoughts having spent a week with the facelift Cupra Born VZ. The Raval is impressive although, I don't think the matt green paint does it justice - reminds me of the green used Army Landrovers when I served back in the 90's. I had a good chat with the sales guy and said next year the front badge is due to be illuminated. Interior is well made and sturdy again not so keen on the 'hulk green' detailing to the parts of the interior copper colouring is nicer IMO.

This is all part of the Extreme package. Would love to see what the pano roof looks like I really found that made the Born feel much more airy. Back seat space it definitely tighter and you sit lower in the back but headroom is impressive. Anyhow thought taking pictures is useful to anyone considering this colour or spec. I did see one of the Raval V2 press cars parked up in Manchester too.

Better if it is left alone. I'd prefer them spending their development budget, effort and time over more important things, instead of trying to illuminate everything where it's not needed, like giving real thought to interior design as it was used to be once. Now every manufacturer follows the same idiotic trend of slapping an ugly tablet screen on top of the console. I don't remember last time I saw a different looking interior in a new model. I won't take it further but that's the sad state of car design for me currently and I'm losing my 50-years of enthusiasm. Sorry for going off-topic.

Matte color looks good, perhaps green isn't my fav, the Bronze color does look the best imo of all colors available and that's offered only in matte. Although just not worth it either the extra cost or maintenance to keep it good looking and try to avoid getting branches and what not leaving permanent marks over the years, also I'm too lazy to clean the car myself and pita in the winters to do so in minus degrees so for me car washing is a must which is not doing great vs matte paint over the years (the regular paint doesn't either and will probably leave some light surface scratches visible against direct sunlight over the years of use but at least it's a bit more resistant)

As for panoramic roof I thought the opposite when I was deciding on it, why would I want to make it hotter in summer that makes AC go more berserk and thus less range and also defeat the purpose of having interior lighting (especially as much as this one comes with the projection at doors etc). But I understand it makes it feel a bit more spacious and roomy but to me it wasn't worth it over the cons.

I also prefer the copper coloring over the sulphur green and I'd rather pick the Dinamica seats over the CUP Bucket seats eitherway.

The camera guy had a Century Bronze Matt Leon Cupra VZ3 4Drive 333, I did like that colour but agree would never opt for it especially at 2K Raval is 1.6K from memory. Any damage means the whole panel has to be sprayed and agree maintenance is too high. It would drive my OCD on car cleaning to a breakdown level!!

I thought the same about a panoramic roof but the glass in the Cupra Born I have had for the week, has kept the heat out really well and with the blind closed no difference in interior temperature between our Born without one and the press car with one. I thought the same unitl having this car in current heatwave as a previous Grandland X had one and did make the car hotter.
