If the standard VZ wasn't aggressive enough 😜 I like it though, this would be like some "R-Type" kind of styling. I read Cupra actually wanted a more powerful AWD version of MEB+ but VW didn't think it was "reasonable" I suppose, who knows in a few years though haha. This would be a good reference design for an even more sportier version though. 😊

While I'm not from UK I can't bother to open a new thread regarding similar topic, at least my car seems to be roughly on schedule, possibly 1-2 weeks delayed only, it was currently in Belgium according to my dealer so it's on the way to Finland, according to him mid-November seems likely for the hand-over (says est. 17.11 in their app). This was a custom order though for the basic VZ made in beginning of June so I knew the expected production schedule would be pushed later as they have prioritized launch editions up until September at the very least and in September custom orders started being processed.

My lease car (spec below) was ordered in July through Select Car leasing and was due for delivery Nov/Dec and I have just been told it has been built and is waiting to be shipped to the UK., so no delay there thankfully.

Ah well they can't all be delayed unless the system is producing rubbish. The fall back is to get the order number from the dealer when feeling stressed and phone up customer services at Cupra if it like Seat, then they might go through some security questions and then get the guy to look it up on their system.

10 years ago not all dealers knew how to use the system or just one guy in the dealership knew. If you get fobbed off you ask for the official customer code, not the dealer one and bobs your uncle. Think its like or was like, one of those airline systems hitting codes. They get a status code back which then maps to the position.

You arent going to make it any faster by phoning up but it puts your mind to rest.

Aunty Google AI says after scraping the net and putting words to it which might be rubbish:

Cupra vehicle factory order and production status codes follow the Volkswagen Group (VAG) tracking system.

Order & Factory Status Codes

00 / 03 / 05: Factory order created or locked, but no build week has been scheduled yet.

10: Factory order acknowledged with a provisional or confirmed production week.

20: Production week confirmed; the vehicle is locked in the system and scheduled for assembly (VIN is typically assigned around this stage).

30: Vehicle has finished production and is built, or is currently in transit from the factory.

36: Vehicle has arrived at the port of exit, awaiting export release.

38: Vehicle is released and loaded onto a ship or transport.

40: Vehicle has left the factory/port area and is in transit or arriving at the destination country port (such as the UK).

50 and higher: Vehicle has cleared customs, is dispatched, and is arriving at or has arrived at the local dealership.
Hi,

I was hoping you could help me clarify something about the order status codes you posted.

I’m in Greece and have a CUPRA Raval order showing ZS12 – Frame reservation under Order Status and PROD under Vehicle Location and Importer frame number ending in 622890 on the importer’s order card.

Do you know what these exact codes mean in the SEAT/CUPRA dealer or importer system? In particular, does ZS12 indicate that a specific vehicle has been allocated but not necessarily built, and does PROD refer to its actual production stage or simply an internal system location?

I’d be especially grateful if you have any insights from your experience with the order system.

Many thanks!

Reckon thats one for @James_R . Normally we dont see these codes as a customer. They are like those airline booking systems of old, code driven. The customer emails you get these days are driven by those codes whilst the dealer gets to see those codes listed from the manufacturing / order processing system.

Thanks for explaining that. That’s exactly what I’m trying to understand.

@James_R would you happen to know what ZS12 – Frame reservation means in the dealer/manufacturing order system, and what PROD means when shown under Vehicle Location?

In particular, I’m trying to establish whether these codes indicate that the car has physically entered production, or whether they can appear before assembly has actually started.

Thanks for your help!
