I recently purchased a Seat Leon 2019.
It has been in an undeclared crash.
I was not aware of this until I inspected the vehicle further and asked a body shop.

I’ve notified the DVSA and I’m returning the vehicle to the dealer on the 31st under the consumer rights act as I only purchased the vehicle a week ago.

Do I also need to notify my insurance company as I’m concerned the vehicle may not be insured.

What would you guys do in this situation?

Personally I would contact the insurance company just to double check its insured simply because not all insurance policy's are the same but presuming the car is still road legal then it would appear to just be you been sold a bad car and want your money back

As an aside has the garage accepted the car back or are they going to do an inspection first.

Cheers. I’ll ask the insurance.
Originally it was booked in for the 31st for an inspection. But since then I have discovered the mileage has been altered on top of the collision damage. Although I’m still going up on the 31st due to being in work I think they’ll just take the car back now. They even sent me an email apologising for selling the vehicle and said that if they had known they wouldn't have bought it themselves. I am fully within my right to reject it for a refund and thats what I intend on doing.

Thanks for the reply.
