Stop Start

Leon SE Design stop start function has to be switched on every time after ignition switched off. Driver assist, smart assistants, traction control and lane assist shows yellow, start stop shows white and indicates off, select, changes to yellow still showing off. Visited dealer, informed normal when switching on ignition for it to show off but after travelling and battery to acceptable charge will be yellow and on. Finding this difficult to u derstand.
SE Design is March 2025, other family car Leon FR Sport, December 2022, start stop stays set all time.
Anyone have this ridiculous situation

Does the function actually engage when you drive the vehicle?

On leaving dealer start stop was white and showing off, drove home approx 40 miles, did not change to yellow.
This problem was first noted when sitting in long queue at traffic lights engine would stop, you expect it to be stop start working, but no, would not start by depressing clutch had to switch off ignition, on and start.

Not sure if correct or not - to my understanding, switching to "ON" position (orange in the manual screen capture below, or yellow in your car) means the "Start-Stop system" is suspended, and will be reactivated after restarting the engine.
