Hi ppl, just registered today after scowering these forums for a while now.

no pics as of yet but having an exterior valet soon and will take some when i can borrow a decent camera.

Just need abit of advice on some parts i could aquire from a breaking '98 Ibiza Cupra Sport 16v to fit onto my '98 standard 1.4 MK2 3dr Ibiza.

firstly...

i was about to remove my OEM rear window spoiler to colour match it to my silver paintwork before i came across this...

will this OEM cupra spoiler fit the same 3 bolt arrangement as mine?

secondly...

fogs.jpg

am i right in thinking these front fogs are the same fitting as my standard Ibiza? front bumper looks completely the same, id obviously have to colour code the kiwi surrounds. (sorry for sounding like a noob).

and lastly...

first two parts were fairly self-explanatory just needed clarification but not sure about this one...

could i fit this front grill/lights arrangment onto my standard 1.4 MK2?

cheers for any answers guys. Tom.

id give a little thought to the light/grill conversion.... most people on here tend not to like them! Still.... each to his own i suppose! Welcome mate!

ha ok well didnt realise that obviously.

i just want to keep subtle mods OEM for now and like the look of it.

can anyone who has one shed any light on any difficulties fitting it to a standard '98 1.4? it all looks pretty routine to me, looks exactly the same bumper etc.

Yep , can be done in all instances, the Bumper/foggies can be done as I did it with my old 1.4 (just never did get round to finishing the bloody wiring before selling it)
the morette style lights.. can I just ask... WHY?!?!?!?!?

rear spoiler, not a major problem in fitting, even if you have a 'variant' *without* the holes pre-drilled into the glass etc for a spoiler, all you need to do is grind/cut the bolts off the spoiler and use tiger seal or suchlike..

The quad lights don't fit like the OE kit, you have to drill holes in your slam panel to bolt it into and the indicators never fit right. I had one of these kits on my old MK2 16v, and I got rid of them quickly.

cheers guys i got the spoiler off him for 30 quid which i thought was pretty good going.

youv shown me the light with the morette lights apperantly £450 conversion which is awful and apperantly someone snapped it up straight away for 300.

got so much to sort out its untrue working 6 day weeks over summer to build up abit of cash then might reveal my MK2 to you all. until then its staying annonymous!
