Hey

Finally sold my saxo and bout a standardish cupra

But sadly decided i needed a change after owning 3valvers :)

So on friday night i travelled 400miles to wales to get an amazing 280bhp cupra :homme:, BUT when i got down there it was nothing the add said it was and it was basically my worst nightmare. Brakes failed on a juction, oil light flashing, bits of rust Basically a MESS!!:wall:
So went went back to the car and check pistonheads and found myself a very nice and clean cupra not many mods, but good base for me to create my own project. So travelled to birmingham and the car was perfect :D

So far the car has:

All the usual stuff abs, traction control, standard alloys, leathers ect.........:)

Custom remap
induction kit
boost gauge

Pulls really well :p

Today drew de-wipered it, and reprayed my door handles in a nice anthracite.

Got loads of plans for it.

heres a little pic

nomad piller & oil gauge

hid kit

leon splitter

new alloys

coilovers

3" MAF

jetex induction kit

stage 2 map

Loads more, will all take time. :D

Im quite a clean freek so engine with be getting a good clean, along with wheels off under arches cleaned and behind alloys!!

Insurances is murder, the cupra is cheaper than my saxo

Really enjoy the car so smooth and comfy :p

Glad you got the right one in the end! Looks like a nice clean example for you to stamp your mark on and make it your own!

Good to see Brembo's on the list of mods, you'll wonder how you ever managed with the standard brakes once you have Brembo power!

Look forward to seeing progress on this thread.

All the best

UPDATE:

Today i washed the car and tried to clean the engine bay up a bit.

Sprayed small touches and door handles. Drew also fixed the bypass tonight too, as it was done completely wrong as shown on this pics

Drew debadged it. Gonna need some stuff resprayed boot, 2x bumpers and wing. Due to marks. Got a quote today £300 and a machine polish :D:D

Engine bay was a disgrace and is still dirty!!

I need to:

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN

paint rocker covers and mods

Im wanting to paint my rocker cover, but still abit unsure. Iv read the guide thing Remove everything attached to rocker cover then bolt and its off. But still unsure about the resealing bit. Is it only a gasket or do i need to buy gasket sealer?

Saw this on sax-p

Looks nice in the pics

Look forward to the updates ;)

The rocker cover has a proper rubber seal (unlike saxos) ive had mine off 4 times now and still on the original seal with no leaks, really easy job

Just a quick one, any idea how the lad went about spraying the top part of the drivers side handle?

Refurbing mine at the minute and im stumped for ideas on how to refurb the top part of the drivers side without painting over the mirror adjusting symbols!

Well today i went and got a new tyre and 2 new rear wishbone bushes. Thats all the car needed. Rather happy with that :)

Also went and spent £30 on cleaning products. Bought that new showroom shine, what removes scratches, swirls and tar.
Also cleaned the engine bay up alittle more today, bit by bit will get it done :D:D
