Carbon Canister Removal

hi all.
and yes i have had a look and can not find any thing so if people has a link or a removal thread that would be good.

Just remove the black box and all lines associated with it.

You will be left with a connection on the throttle body that you will need to block off and a connection on the tip that will need blocking off (bit of silicone with a bolt in the end does the trick)

Then with the fuel breather line thats left over just extend it into the wing or wherever you want to vent (i used silicone to extend it just under the headlight)

I left the clicky valve electically plugged in and just tucked it out the way to avoid engine lights

Also if you trace it back through the loom it can be hidden under the scuttle panel near the ecu

I found the valve varies in resistance values when it vents so the 330ohm resistors worked for a while but then still brought on the light

Welcome to gettin a engine management light. :)

i love my engine light on would not feel the same car if it was always out haha lol :) :)
got a load of resitors from maplins so going to try a few out 14p each
will be having a go at it to moz.

hey guys, see the hose arrowed in the picture, it goes to the back of the head then down to the turbo? do i just block this off when i remove the carbon can? say at the side of the head? and block off the one to the top of the TB?
