I just had my 1.4 Ibiza SCS serviced today and they didn't reset the service alert as the computer the use was broken, so now it keeps beeping every time i turn the ignition and its starting to get annoying. Anybody know how to fix it without me having to go back???
cheers
Well my K1 just had its 1st (10k) service today and all is well. I supplied my own oil and it cost me £87 :D. My original tyres are showing f/r -5mm, f/l -5, r/r- 4 and r/l - 4. These Bridgestone RE 050a tyres give excellent grip wet or dry and have been the best performance tyre i have used to...
Ok my car is going for a run on he rolling road on Saturday and im wanting to make sure I get a decent figure so I was considering trying some 10k boost through it.
Has anyone tried it on a 20vt? Is it worthwhile or can anyone recommend another product to try? My car has 57k on the clock btw...
hi just a quick question!
Has anybody on here used the product called 10k boost which is available from most good car accessory shops?
Its kinda like redex except you spray it through the air intake and rev the car at the same time for 15minutes to get all of the crap out of the system...
My car is now due its 10K service. However I dont no where to take it. Go to main dealer and pay a high price or go to my local vag specialist which is 90 quid. I know that new laws means you can take it to anywhere that uses gen vag parts etc. Where would you go. At the mo I am gonna go to...
Champs,
My car needs a service and I want to try and offset what my mechanc geezer can do with what the dealer would do and charge for. Any Ideas?
I was just thinking that my guy can change the oil and filter etc etc, all I want from the dealer is the stamp in that service book. So instead...
Rang up the dealer I got the car from for a 10k quote on my Sport PD.
£175 plus three weeks to wait if I want a courtesy car, I can't wait as they can't guarantee how long it will take.
Rang up the next nearest dealer (about 2 miles further) - £130 and it'll take 90 minutes max. Can wait...
Are LCR's realistically available for this money? Only 2 pop up on autotrader for that price at all and due to being surrounded by water what it thinks is 30 miles is more like 70 by the time I factor in driving on roads :o
Currently tearing around in a 1.6S (takes a lot of effort to keep it...
My car is coming up on 10k. What are the main things i need to replace. I would like to do the work myself and just buy the parts from seat.
Also, how do i get the 'service' word off when i start up?
Thank You
I searched for an explanation but couldn't find what I was looking for.....
The service book for my car says that it is due on XX/XX/XXXX date or 10k miles after previous service, which is pretty much due.
But neither the oil or inspection spanners have come on. So do I get it serviced as...
Had my first service done early cos there was a clonking noise and a lot of vibration from the gear nob in neutral. It turns out they had to replace all the drop linkages and couldn't figure out the gear stick thing.
Is it normal to have these linkages changed at only 8K? The car is only 3...
I have bought a can of 10k boost for my LC, and the only instructions on the side state:
'Apply 10k boost directly into the turbo charger inlet'
Could someone please point out the exact location of this, as I dont want to buggar the car up - and I'll be damned if I can find a diagram of...
Hi there all, just thought i'd post a quick topic regarding servicing of the LCR 225.
After expecting a sum of circa £200 i was extremely surprised that R M Fisher Galgate near Lancaster does the work inclusive of Vat and Labour for £117.
Best of all a free courtesy car whilst carrying...
Just had my service today in my Leon and these guys are ace.
Not only did they have the job done that day, and that it was £50 less than Seat wanted, and that I got the rest of my washer fluid & lube, they even gave me a box of sweets !!!!!!
10k Annual service (not just lube) - which...
